Dr. Wieland Holfelder is Vice President Engineering, leads the Google Engineering Center in Munich and the engineering activities for Digital Sovereignty in Europe. Before Google, he spent over 12 years in Silicon Valley, as VP and CTO of Mercedes-Benz Research and Technology North America. In 2020, he was recognized as a “GI Fellow” by the German Computer Science Association.
